How Secret Handshake handles local storage, permissions, ads, purchases, and network checks.

Secret Handshake is a mobile app for generating, practicing, recording, saving, and sharing playful handshake routines. The app does not require an account, does not provide a public social feed, and does not sell personal information.
Information Stored on Your Device
Secret Handshake may store saved handshakes, the current generated handshake, tutorial completion, free-use counters, rewarded-ad refill timing, preferences, and cached Unlimited purchase status locally on your device.
You can remove this local app data by deleting Secret Handshake from the device. App Store or Google Play purchase history is managed by Apple or Google.
Camera, Microphone, and Photos
Camera and microphone access are used only when you choose to record a handshake video in Dance Mode. Photo or media library access is used only when you choose to save an exported video to your device.
Ads and Tracking
Free mode may show Google AdMob ads while the device is online. Secret Handshake asks for App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS before requesting personalized advertising or ad measurement that uses the advertising identifier. If you do not grant tracking permission, the app requests non-personalized ads.
Advertising is provided by Google AdMob, which may process ad requests, device identifiers, coarse device information, diagnostics, and related ad-delivery data according to Google policies and your device settings.
Secret Handshake does not include a public profile, social graph, location sharing, third-party analytics feed, or separate account system. Store privacy forms and this hosted policy should stay aligned with the final advertising and platform configuration used at submission.
Purchases
Secret Handshake offers an Unlimited purchase for ad-free offline use and expanded access. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play services. Secret Handshake stores only the entitlement status needed to unlock Unlimited on your device after verification.
Network Checks
Free mode requires an internet connection so ads can be served and limits can be verified. The app may use HTTPS time checks from trusted public services, such as Google, Cloudflare, and WorldTimeAPI, to reduce device-clock abuse for free limits and rewarded refills.
Data Sharing
Secret Handshake does not sell personal information. Videos are shared only when you choose to use the device share sheet or save options. Saved handshakes remain local to your device unless you choose to share exported content.
Data Deletion
You can remove local Secret Handshake app data by deleting the app from your device. App Store and Google Play purchase history is managed by Apple or Google through their platform account settings.
Children
Secret Handshake is not directed to children and does not create child-targeted accounts.
